In 2015, a young engineer named Alexander Reynolds and renowned architect Emily Hartley met unexpectedly, and the two discussed future lighting trends for homes and workspaces at a green building seminar. Together, they realized that in an era of increased emphasis on sustainability and quality of life, lamps should not simply be sources of light, but life partners that combine design aesthetics, energy efficiency and intelligent technology.
As a result, they joined forces to create the Buyya intelligent lighting brand.

The name "Buyya" originates from the meaning of "Bight up your space", which symbolizes to provide a constant and intelligent light for life.

From the very beginning, Buyya's mission has been to create modern lighting products that enhance the quality of life, meet individual needs, and save energy.
